 Abbott and Fenner Business Consultants Scholarship

 Amazon Future Engineer Scholarship

 American Cancer Society Childhood Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program

AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Scholarships

American Legion Auxiliary Scholarships

The  American Legion Auxiliary Department of ND sponsors scholarships for nursing students as well as students seeking a degree in the field of their choice. This includes the Samsung Scholarship for students who attended ND Boys State or Girls State.  Several national level scholarships are also awarded, including Children of Warriors National Presidential Scholarship ($5,000). Anthony Monroe Memorial Scholarship
 Established in memory of Anthony Monroe, a 2002 graduate of BHS who was killed while serving in Iraq. Aspirations in Computing Award

The AiC High School Award honors 9th-12th grade women for their computing-related achievements and interests, and encourages them to pursue their passions. Award recipients are selected based on their aptitude and aspirations in technology and computing, as demonstrated by their computing experience, computing-related activities, leadership experience, tenacity in the face of barriers to access, and future plans. Baron and Budd Attorneys Mesothelioma Cancer Victims Memorial Scholarships

 Basin Electric Power Cooperative Scholarship Program

 Bismarck Dollars for Scholars
 Scholarships of $500 will be given to successful applicants from the Bismarck area who plan to further their education.  Bismarck Eagles Auxiliary BSC/University of Mary Scholarship
 The Eagles Auxiliary provides a $500 scholarship to a student attending BSC or UMary. Financial need is given more importance than scholastic average. Deadline: April 15
 
 Bismarck Kiwanis Club Servant Leader Scholarship
 Individual one-time scholarships of $1,000 are given to four local seniors who plan to enroll in an institution of higher learning in North Dakota. Criteria includes: scholastic record and ACT/SAT scores; future plans, school activity record and personal qualities that indicate potential success in college; good citizenship and service involvement; and financial need. Deadline: March 1

Bismarck Larks Community FUNd

The Bismarck Larks will award scholarships to high school seniors or those attending college who are interested in pursuing a career in the sports, events and entertainment field.  Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.

Bismarck-Mandan Mayors’ Committee for People with Disabilities

Up to five $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students wishing to pursue post-secondary education.  Any student with a qualifying disability is eligible to apply.  Deadline:  April 26

 Bismarck Rotary Club
 The Bismarck Rotary club awards six $2500 scholarships-one to a graduating senior from each local high school. Criteria includes: scholastic record, co-curricular and community involvement and leadership qualities. Apply at ndcf.net.  Deadline: March 15

Bismarck State College Foundation Scholarships

Bismarck State College - Chesak Family Scholarship
 This $1000 scholarship is available to new students at BSC in one of the following programs: Geographic Information Systems Tech; Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning; Mechanical Maintenance Technology; Medical Laboratory Sciences; Web Page Development & Design. Bismarck Tribune Teen of the Week

The Bismarck Tribune, along with MDU Resources, will honor one high school senior each week.  At the end of the school year, a $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to one student.  All-around students who excel in the classroom, extra-curriculars, the workplace, and in the community are encouraged to apply.  

Burger King Scholars Program

Scholarship grants range from $1,000 to $50,000, and are intended to help students offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average (2.5 min), work experience, co-curricular activities and community service. Apply at bk-scholars.com.  Deadline:  December 15

 Capital Credit Union Howard Snortland Scholarship 
 Capital Credit Union is offering eight $1,000 scholarships for seniors who are members of CCU and will be attending college in ND or Minnesota. The scholarship application is available at www.capcu.org in January of each year and specific details are included at that time. Deadline: February 15

Centennial PTO Shelley Stumpf Memorial Scholarship
 Two seniors who attended Centennial for a minimum of one year will receive $300. The committee will consider the following criteria: school and community involvement, academic standing, and an essay. Applicants should visit the PTO page at www.bismarckschools.org/centennial to download an application. Deadline: February 18
 
 CHI St. Alexius Teen Volunteer Scholarship

This $500 scholarship is available to students who have completed a minimum of 50 hours of volunteering in the CHI St. Alexius Gift Shop.  Application requires a brief essay (250 words) and two letters of reference. Deadline: March 15

 
 Coca-Cola Scholars Program
 150 well-rounded seniors who are active in their school and community and balance extra-curricular activities with strong academic performances will be named "Coca-Cola Scholars" and awarded $20,000 scholarships. The application can be found at the Coca-Cola web site at http://www.coca-colascholars.org. Deadline: October 2
 
 Commitment to Agriculture Scholarship Program
 One hundred awards of $1,500 will be presented to seniors whose families are engaged in production agriculture and plan to pursue a career in agriculture. Minimum ACT composite score of 18 required. Download applications at www.monsanto.com, or www.nafb.com. Deadline: February 15 

 DSG’s Education Connection Scholarship

DSG, a wholesale distributor for plumbing, electrical, and HVAC/R supplies, has given away thousands in scholarships to students interested in entering the trades. Dakota Community Bank & Trust Scholarship

North Dakota high school seniors who demonstrate community and/or school involvement and plan to continue their education by enrolling full-time (12 credits or more) in the fall are encouraged to apply.  Eleven recipients will be chosen to receive this $500 award.  Available on the bank's website.  Deadline: March 1

Dakota Lions Restoration of Sight and Health Scholarship

This scholarship provides $1,000 to an undergraduate student attending a post-secondary educational institution (university, college, technical school, etc.) in the states of South Dakota and North Dakota (one award for each state). Qualified applicants must be pursuing an education in a field related to the Mission of Dakota Lions Sight & Health (Helping to Enable the Restoration of the Gifts of Sight & Health) - this may include health professions, science and research, social services, philanthropy, nonprofit organizations, etc.  The website and applications are located at dakotasight.org/scholarship.  Deadline: April 30. 

 Dakota Stage/Shade Tree Scholarship Award
 Seniors who are alumni of Shade Tree Players or Dakota Stage Ltd. are eligible to apply for this $500 award. Requirements include one-page essay, theatrical resume, 2 letters of reference, and 20 hours of community service. Download application at www.dakotastageltd.com. Deadline: March 1

Ducks Unlimited National Scholarship Program

Ducks Unlimited (DU) will award 61 college scholarships (ranging from $500 to $10,000) to graduating seniors who are members of DU. Volunteers who have shown an exceptional level of commitment to wetlands conservation are encouraged to apply. Students must have GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Deadline: January 15

Dushinske & Jamison Water Resources Scholarship                                                   

Four $1,500 scholarships for students  planning to attend a ND college or university. Education is Freedom (EIF) Scholarship
EIF is a national foundation that provides scholarships ranging from $500-$5,000 to ‘B' average students whose families cannot afford tuition and whose grades do not qualify them for traditional scholarships.  Elks Legacy Awards

 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship
 Local winners (3 male, 3 female) receive from $400-$800. Five hundred national winners receive a minimum of $1,000. Must be a U.S. citizens, do not have to be related to an Elks member. Judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. Available at enf.elks.org/MVS. Deadline: November 15

Farm Credit Services of ND Scholarships in Agriculture
 Ten scholarships worth $1000 each will be awarded to seniors who plan to enroll in college this fall. The recipient must be from an actively farming or ranching family OR planning to pursue an agricultural career.  Farmers Union Co-op House Scholarship
 For students with at least a 2.5 GPA planning to attend NDSU and are Farmers Union members, relatives of past Co-op House members or member of a cooperative.  Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund
 The Freedom Alliance honors our military heroes by granting scholarships for dependent sons or daughters of US soldiers who were permanently disabled or killed while serving their country. Apply at www.FAScholarship.com.

Gates Scholarship

The Gates Scholarship (TGS) is a highly selective, last-dollar scholarship for outstanding, minority, high school seniors from low-income households. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to exceptional student leaders, with the intent of helping them realize their maximum potential.  Deadline: September 15

 Gene L. Kouba Memorial Scholarship
 Adam Klein Chapter #3, Disabled American Veterans offers this scholarship worth up to $1,000 for veterans of the US Armed Forces, spouses and children of veterans. Deadline: March 15

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program
 This national program awards college scholarships to high school seniors who embody the characteristics of President Ronald Reagan at school, in the community, in the workplace, and at home. They're looking for students with leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship. Recipients receive $10,000 renewable scholarships - up to $40,000 per student. Hagan Scholarship Foundation

The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based scholarship, providing recipients with the opportunity to graduate debt-free. The scholarship provides up to $7,500 each semester for up to eight semesters.  Applicants must have a GPA of 3.5 or better and meet income and work requirements. Heisman High School Scholarship

Winning a Heisman High School Scholarship presented by Acceptance Insurance requires a weighted GPA of 3.0 or better, participation in at least one sport, and demonstrated leadership at school and in the community. School Winners from every school, 88 State Winners receive a $1,000 scholarship, 10 National Finalists receive a $2,000 scholarship, 2 National Winners receive a $10,000 scholarship!  Apply here.  Deadline: October 19

Horatio Alger Association Scholarships

 The employees of Horizon Financial Bank are offering $500 scholarships to seniors from Bismarck. The applicant and/or parent must be a customer of the bank. Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides four-year scholarships of up to $35,000 and extensive support services, including career guidance and internship placement, to highly motivated African American students.  Go to www.jackierobinson.org to learn more and apply.  Deadline: January 10

Jeff Burgess Memorial Scholarship
 The Lignite Energy Council established this scholarship to assist a graduating senior from Bismarck planning to pursue a science-related career. Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship 

Lockheed Martin is awarding 200 renewable scholarships of $10,000 each.  Awards are open to individuals studying eligible engineering or computer science majors, who demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities.  Deadline: March 12

 McKelvey Foundation Entrepreneurial Scholarship

 Minnesota-Dakotas District Kiwanis Educational Foundation Scholarship Grant
 CHS can nominate three seniors for a one-time scholarship of $950 to be used in higher education institutions located in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota and Superior, WS. Awards are based on scholastic ability, need & seriousness of purpose. Deadline: January 10

Minot State University Prairie Rose Scholarship

High school graduates from Burleigh County (as well as Billings, Golden Valley, Morton, and Stark) attending Minot State University are eligible for the Prairie Rose Scholarship. Must have 2.75 unweighted GPA or higher on final high school transcript. Deadline: March 31

Missouri River Clay Target League (MRCTL) Evan Grove Scholarship

The Evan Grove Scholarship Program was created by the Grove family to commemorate Evan's love of the outdoors, hunting, shooting sports and his teammates as well as to honor Evan, who passed away from a sudden and tragic accident in October, 2020. Scholarships will be awarded to recipients who have participated in at least two seasons of ND State High School Clay Target League competition for any of the six schools in the Bismarck-Mandan area that are part of MRCTL and who will be enrolled in post-secondary education. Deadline: May 15

National Farmers Union Foundation Scholarships
 The Hubert Seymour Scholarship offers a $2,000 award for a senior continuing his/her education for any area of study. A one-page essay is required. Deadline: April 1. The Stanley Moore Scholarship awards several $1,000 scholarships to Farmers Union members. Deadline: April 1.  National Federation of Independent Business Young Entrepreneur Awards
 Minimum of 100 scholarships ranging in value from $1,000-$10,000 to recognize young people who have demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit/initiative.  National Honor Society Scholarship

Current seniors who are active NHS members in good standing are encouraged to apply. One national winner will receive $25,000 24 national finalists receive $5,625 and 575 national semi-finalists receive $3,200. National Multiple Sclerosis Society Scholarship Program
 High school seniors who have MS or a parent with MS are eligible for scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $3,000. The Upper Midwest Chapter granted 90 scholarships last year to help college-bound students touched by MS. Available online at www.nationalmssociety.org. Deadline: January 15

 North Dakota Scholarship
 Scholarships of $750 per semester or $1,500 per year for students attending college in ND and meeting the criteria outlined at www.dpi.state.nd.us/resource/act/act.shtm. Deadline: June 1
  
 North Dakota Association of the Blind Scholarships
 The Emma Skogen Scholarship is a $1,000 award to one student who is visually impaired and in need of financial assistance that plans to attend a vocational or trade school. North Dakota Association of Counties/Institute of Local Government Scholarship Fund

The North Dakota Association of Counties (NDACo), through their affiliate, the Institute of Local Government (ILG) will be awarding several $2,000 scholarships. To qualify, students must have a parent or grandparent currently employed by a county, including elected and appointed officials as well as other full-time county employees. The student must plan to attend an accredited North Dakota college or technical school.  North Dakota Corn Growers Association Scholarship
 Seven $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to children of current ND Corn Growers Association members. High school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing a degree in an agricultural field are eligible. For more info, go to www.ndcorngrowers.org. Deadline: January 31
 
 North Dakota Crop Improvement & Seed Association Scholarship

The North Dakota Crop Improvement & Seed Association provides three (3) scholarships to seniors who plan to continue post-secondary education in North Dakota. Applicant and/or guardian shall be a member of the State ND Crop Improvement & Seed Association and be a full-time student (12 credits or more). The amount of each scholarship is $1000.  North Dakota Farm Bureau Future of Ag Scholarship

 College-bound seniors with at least a 2.5 GPA and whose families are members of Farmers Union may apply for this scholarship. The field of study is not limited to agri-business, farm operation or production agriculture but should relate to/benefit rural America.  North Dakota Grocers Association Richard Bronson Scholarship

These $1,000 scholarships are available to any graduating student who works for a NDGA Member Store or Associate Member business. A graduating student, whose parent(s) work for a NDGA Member Store or an Associate Member business is eligible as well. Deadline: March 18

 North Dakota Jaycee Senate Lisa Burdolski Memorial Scholarship
 The ND Jaycee Senate awards four scholarships worth $300 each. The scholarships are dedicated to the memory of Lisa Burdolski, a child of a Jaycee who died as a result of a car accident. Two primary award winners and one alternate winner will be selected. Primary winners are then eligible to compete nationally for $1,000 scholarships from the US JCI Senate Foundation. North Dakota League of Cities Jan Jordan Scholarship

Three $1,000 scholarships awarded to outstanding students. Must be from 17 to 22 years old and a child or grandchild of a current city employee or elected city official. Must be a full-time student at an accredited ND university, college, or vocational/technical program. Deadline: March 24

North Dakota Mensa Scholarship Essay Contest

 ND Rural Water Systems Association Patrick Denne Memorial Scholarship

 North Dakota Scholars Program
 Recognizes outstanding students for scholastic achievement as measured by ACT score and academic record. Only ACT scores earned prior to senior year are considered. Top scholars who enroll in a ND college or university will be awarded an in-state tuition scholarship. Funding is available for approximately 30-40 new students each year. There is no application.

North Dakota Solid Waste and Recycling Association

The NDSWRA is an organization that works to educate, train and promote environmentally sound waste management practices. Up to two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to applicants who must be NDSWRA member or immediate family of a member. Criteria includes, but is not limited to, fields of study, location of institution or training, involvement in extracurricular activities, work history, GPA, and letters of reference.  Deadline: July 31

NDSU FarmHouse Fraternity Freshmen Men Scholarship

FarmHouse Fraternity alumni provides six $3,300 scholarships to incoming male freshmen students.  The scholarships will not be based primarily on scholarship, but rather someone who demonstrates the characteristics of grit - resilience, a strong work ethic, direction, desire to succeed, and perseverance.  Robert Miller Elementary School PTO Scholarship

Samsung American Legion Scholarship

Twenty youth nationwide are selected to receive this scholarship each year. Students who are finishing their junior year in high school and attend the American Legion's North Dakota Boys State or American Legion Auuxiliary's Girls State programs are eligible.

 State Chapter of the P.E.O Sisterhood Jane A. Taylor North Dakota Scholarship

Scholarship designated for a female student attending a North Dakota college.  Students with a minimum college GPA of 3.0 can apply after completion of 64 college credits. State Farm Good Neighbor Scholarship
 Up to 50 recipients will receive a $2,500 reward. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 to 3.2, demonstrate financial need, be a US citizen, and plan to enroll as a full-time student at a two- or four-year college, or voc/technical school. STEM Scholarship for Aspiring Commercial Drone Pilots

Scholarship designed to support high school students ages 16 and up who are serious about learning how to fly drones commercially.  Recipients receive free access to an in-depth test prep course for the FAA’s “Part 107” certification exam to be a commercial drone pilot (usual cost is $299). The first 100 recipients will have their FAA exam fee of $150 covered, for a total value of approximately $450. Thirty freshmen each year will be selected to join the new UMary Nursing Academy (Fall 2023, 2024, & 2025). Chosen students will earn their nursing degree tuition free in 2.6 years! UND's online scholarship database is home to more than 800 scholarship opportunities. Applying for UND scholarships is a simple, one application process.
