Luke Keller

 

LUKE KELLER is the Director of Bands and Music Department Chair at St. Mary's Central High School in Bismarck, North Dakota.  He directs the St. Mary's Wind Orchestra, Concert Band, Pep Band, and the “Marching Saints".  Mr. Keller is currently in his 6th year of teaching at St. Mary’s.  Prior to his current position, he was the Director of Bands at Jamestown High School for two years.  While pursuing his undergraduate studies at the University of Mary, Luke received his Bachelor of Science in Instrumental/Vocal Music Education and his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance for trombone and voice.  An active trombone and euphonium player in the community, he performs in the Bismarck-Mandan Wind Ensemble, Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, and Missouri Valley Chamber Orchestra.  He has also adjudicated and given clinics at various instrumental and vocal solo/ensemble festivals throughout the state.  He is presently the site manager of the NDHSAA West State “A” Brass Solo and Ensemble Contest and the Vice President of the North Dakota National Band Association.  Mr. Keller is also a member of National Association for Music Education (NAFME).  His wife, Jill, is a middle school band director in the Bismarck Public Schools. They reside in Bismarck with their daughter, Claire.
