St. Mary's Central High School Vocal Music
Saints Concert Choir
The vocal program presents four concerts each year and performs at various masses and community functions. The choir meets daily within the school schedule. This choir is a non-auditioned ensemble. If singing in the choir, members can also participate in the men's and women's groups. Our first formal concert of the year is the Christmas Concert, however, expect to hear us at the school masses prior to December. We combine with the instrumental program for our Midwinter Concert held each year in February. We will be having another phenomenal spring performance. Join us for our "Art & Song". Desserts are served and the gallery is open to all.
Singing Saints Set to Tour
The St. Mary's Central High School Concert Choir will be touring to New York City along with Sandusky, Ohio and Michigan. June 6-15, 2010 are the dates of the tour. The students are currently raising funds and preparing music for a once in a life time experience. Check back for a detailed itinerary to be posted soon.
St. Mary's Blues
The "St. Mary's Blues" is an audition only ensemble. This group mainly performs vocal jazz literature. The SM Blues have sung for the State ACDA Convention and most recently recorded professionally for an upcoming compilation CD. This award winning group also sang for Honorable Governor John Hoeven's inauguration in 2001. The 2009-2010 group consists of 12 members SATB. This year the jazz choir will be very active with impromptu performances and gigs along with a wonderful spring concert on April 18th.
Maestro Club
Are you interested in attending a St. Mary's Central High School concert? Maestro tickets are the way to go. You and your guests are admitted to the entire season for a donation of $25 or more. Your name will also be printed in our music programs throught the year. We encourage the business support of our maestro club members.
