Nomination Process

 Nomination Process:

  1. Any person can nominate an individual(s) or team to SMCHS Hall of Fame.
  2. The nominator must complete the nomination form and the nomination questions and submit it to SMCHS by the announced deadline.
  3. The SMCHS Hall of Fame Committee will select those individuals/teams to be inducted and the SMCHS Superintendent and the Board of Education will grant final approval.
 Timeline for SMCHS’s 2010 Hall of Fame Class:
October 2009: Nomination forms are available and are allowed to be submitted.
February 15th, 2010: Nominations must be postmarked by this date.
February/March 2010: SMCHS Hall of Fame Committee reviews nominations and makes 
recommendations to SMCHS Superintendent and Board of Education. 
March 2010 SMCHS Superintendent and Board of Education grant final approval.
April 2010: 2009 Hall of Fame Inductees are notified.
September 17 & 18th, 2010: Hall of Fame Weekend Festivities
 
The purpose of the St. Mary’s Central High School’s (SMCHS) Hall of Fame is to recognize alumni, faculty and staff, and friends and benefactors who, during and/or after their time at SMCHS, have achieved a level of excellence deserving of recognition in Athletics, Fine Arts, in their personal endeavors, and in their support of St. Mary’s Central High School. 2010 will mark the 6th year of this tradition at SMCHS.
 
Eligibility Criteria for St. Mary’s Central High School’s Hall of Fame
  1. Alumni, faculty and staff, and supportive friends and benefactors are eligible for nomination and induction.
  2. Induction into the SMCHS’s Hall of Fame may be granted posthumously.
  3. Nominees, students, teachers and faculty alike, are recommended to be out of school for a minimum of ten years.

Nominees must demonstrate the Catholic values that represent SMCHS
